The main purpose of this position is to provide automation services to both the FSS organization (including Global Credit, European and North American FAS, European and North American BuyPay etc.) and the various Business Unit Locations of Howmet - using the existing knowledge base and toolset. The position holder must be able to provide reporting services as well, including running regular reports (downloading data, manipulating report content, providing final output) and providing reporting consultancy services (revamping of complex reports, automating reports, developing new reports).

Howmet is looking for Senior Analyst to support its Data & Reporting team.

Key activities:

  • Provide monthly, weekly, daily or ad-hoc reports to internal customers in GSS organization (including Global credit, European and North American FAS, BuyPay etc.) and in various Business Locations of Howmet globally.
  • Support special projects, reporting, analysis, process improvements and automation initiatives.
  • Assist in integration of the non-EBS locations into the Howmet reporting system.
  • Assist customers and peer organizations with improving existing and developing new queries and reports (Discoverer, SQL, manual, etc.).
  • Create, review and maintain Reporting manuals, SOPs and working documents.
  • Cross functionality in the various tasks/systems.
  • Handle peak periods in a month.
  • Managing Customer requests in US timezone.
  • Maintain/document knowledge for automated reports.
  • Manage changing source data.
  • Keep high quality by implementing checkpoints/controls on reports and automation initiatives.
  • Answer customer calls, being first contact to assist customers and peer organizations with any type of questions regarding database queries, reports, reporting systems and trainings.
  • Provide reporting services on a Global level including data from all different Howmet locations and systems.
  • Provide expertise on analysis and interpretation of different datasets and data fields.
  • Participate in automation projects (incl automation tool upgrades, BU initiated projects).
  • Handle complex automations using existing tools (AutoMate, VBA toolset, Visual Studio, RPA, etc) from report automations to end-to-end process automations.
  • Assist in automation of non-Oracle data collection processes.
  • Assist in development and maintenance of NON-EBS reporting processes, like QAD, JDE, Thalia etc. systems.
  • Development in and management of Business Intelligence tools (Power BI).
  • Maintain all existing automations in the various platform.

Education, experience and skills:

Basic:
  • Degree in IT and/or finance obtained at College or University.
  • Experienced with MS Excel as well as application databases and SQL.
  • Demonstrated technological process automation skills in VBA and/or database management and/or programming languages.
  • Fluent English and Hungarian language skills.
Preferred:
  • Able to evaluate and resolve problems by setting priorities and to adapt quickly to new situations if necessary.
  • Day-to-day problems often ask for a creative approach and the incumbent is expected to come forth with new ideas as to how problems can be solved or existing processes improved.
  • Communication skills (writing and speaking), Fluent English.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
